There are 4 IFBB Pro cards up for grabs this weekend. Who will
be the newest bodybuilder crowned king of the amateurs.
We'll find out in a bit but for those of us who can't make the show,
there is lots of really fantastic coverage this year.

From MDTV... can the 5'11" Dallas fireman win the super heavies? Weighing in in the the low 260s, (a good 15lbs heavier than last November at the 2009 NPC National Championships when he placed a disappointing 14th). Steve is still only 24 years old...

As a quick response, they have protein and healthy fats. You'll need to check
the nuts for content.

OK, So I love to eat snacks during the day while I am working at my desk. I
figured that I should probably start buying things that would not be too bad for
me. So I was wondering how much nutritional value nuts have? Is there a certain
kind of nut that is better for you?

This past weekend saw the great NPC show that contains three national level contests. As usual the stand out was the Masters where there were IFBB Pro cards up for grabs and a long deserving Jerome Ferguson finally got his card and a magnificent Overall win but the competition at the Collegiate and the Teens was pretty fierce as well. One of the best line ups overall I've seen in a long time. There was even some controversy in the Teen Nationals with Nick Medici beating the incredibly huge Cody Lewis for the overall. Both are great and have great potential!!
Muscular Development had great photos of the event including great on the spot reporting as the event unfolded!!RX also had great interviews and photos throughout the event

The Winners Are:
Teen Nationals
Heavyweight: Cody Lewis (Great Introductory Video!! Interview)Light-Heavyweight and Overall: Nick Medici (Interview, Promo)Middleweight: Larry Morrison (Interview)Lightweight: Bill Baldwin
Collegiate Nationals
Heavyweight and Overall: Trey Smith (Interview)Light-Heavyweight: Jacob Wilczynski Middleweight: Nathaniel UllomLightweight: Tyler Leopard
Masters Nationals
Over 40Super-Heavyweight and Overall: Jerome Ferguson (Interview, Lengthy training and interview from 2006 Nationals)Heavyweight: David Watson (second Pro card, Interview)Light-Heavyweight: Lorenzo JonesMiddleweight: Stoil StoilovWelterweight: Kevin CouchLightweight: Roosevelt WoodlandBantamweight: George Gibson

Wayne,

Your on a good start at the gym and about to gain in a hole new world of gaining muscle on your frame. if your gym has a trainer I would seek out the trainer and get some advise on how to increace your muscles mass it will give a pretty good idea what your shooting for. a trainer will set you up with a good work out program to fit your needs and then you can take it from there as you progress. as a rule never measure you body parts as you work out it will some times give you a false pretense on how big you want your muscle to be at certain size at a certain time. as you work out you will start seeing some good size on you in a good 6 to 12 weeks of training. you will notice that your growing as your clothes start to feel a little tight on you. good luck with your prgroess and keep a record of what you do if possible that you have a camera take photos of your self as you progress .

good luck

I'm still a runner (marathon in seven weeks) and although I've redistributed my weight, I'm still skinny (still 140 lbs.) Soo, now I want to take this more seriously, but what should I be shooting for? Should my goal be to increase the weights I lift by a certain amount in a month say? To keep changing my measurements (I've never measured my biceps or chest etc.) or to add body weight? What are usually people's first bodybuilding goals?

Hi guys,

Several weeks ago I started lifting weights and I joined your group with a question about how often to work any given body part. Thanks for all the advice and the on going support!

Things have changed for me since then, I've since joined a gym (about two weeks ago) instead of just having access to a universal at the pool. I love it so far. I can lift more with the major muscle groups (bench press, lat pull downs) and I look differently (I can see those pecs and lats now).

Thanks,

Wayne

Just ran into photos of Natural Bodybuilder/Trainer Eddie LaToza.  His conditioning in some of these shots is very impressive and inspirational to those of us not using chemical enhancements.
He has a good exercise demonstration video of an arm workout.
Also a nice website!!

As far as I can tell, intuitive eating is eating what you feel your body
needs. Now being able to be a bodybuilder AND an intuitive eater seems
counter-intuitive to me. it doesn't make sense.
HOWEVER, I was struck in this interview of Eli Blahut
<http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AmwbsfchGEs> after he won the JR
Nationals Middleweights how sincere he seemed to be about following this
type of diet.
With the bodybuilding diet there can be a lot of digestive issues
because it is extreme. I usually try to balance everything and usually
I feel fine. How do you guys deal with digestive issues???

What are you consuming for fluids? Not knowing what your actually physique is
like, I have no idea if that is enough. Unless there is someone in this forum
that is more so familiar with someone into boxing, you're going to have to
provide a lot more detail. Speaking of, are you training for boxing, or you just
like using the speedbag? Are you even doing other methods of training?  From
your initial post, it appears that all you do is speed bag or mimic speed bag
with weights.

Banana shake and often no dinner. In morning  bread  slice with

fry egg, lunch chicken or some vegetable. Is that enough?

Question... In doing my own workout.. I sometimes do the
movements as if I was doing a speed bag. I dont have one
but like I said I do the movements. I did my own thing
where I got a couple of small weights and did the speed
bag motions with them. then I loose the weights and go back
to doing the movements using nothing. I think I might of
over did it because my left arms started to hurt. It then hurt
to lift the weights. I was doing them everyday. I should of maybe
do those things maybe every other day? AND Can I massage my own arm
to get my arm back to normal? lol I read somwehere that a person should
actally lift every other day because when you lift you tear your muscles
down and they need a chance to heal. I also hear if you work out steady
every once and a while you should take a 2 day break.. every hear of these
things?

Subject: [Bodybuilding for Men] Speed Bag movements. Advice

I also hear if you work out steady
every once and a while you should take a 2 day break.. every hear of these
things?

Thanks for reply. Yes . I usually workout for hour or so, after workout i take Banana shake and often no dinner. In morning bread slice with
fry egg, lunch chicken or some vegetable. Is that enough?

Here's a generic question. Does your diet and nutrition meet your training requirements? And another one. Are you staying hydrated?

AdWords Juni 2010 Kontostatistiken. Kundennummer: 232-608-1821

Google

Sehr geehrte AdWords-Kundin, sehr geehrter AdWords-Kunde,

Keywords: Welche funktionieren am effektivsten?

Dear Group Members,

Myself and the other owner both apologize for the last two posts and any SPAM you might receive through the group.

It is our intention only to publish articles and information related to working out and the sport of bodybuilding. This site receives up to 30 or so posts a day and there is a lot of SPAM but we usually keep the irrelevant stuff away from our members.

We do not wish this to be an adult site and apologize for the sexual nature of the recent posts. Our hope is to have an on topic and useful group.

We thank you for your patience and apologize once again!

On behalf of both the owners,

Dan

Nice video interview

t-lowden-after-his-overall-win-2010-jr-nationals.html

Jr Nationals Overall Champ Matthew Lowden.
Includes a lot of training footage and some contest footage. Matthew
Lowden is a taller heavyweight and frequently competes as a light-heavy
(he took 3rd in the 2009 NPC USA in Light Heavies). It is interesting
to look at his approach as a competitor who tends to be lankier and
longer physique wise than most bodybuilders. For those of us who have
this build it is cool to see someone be successful.
