It does make it uncomfortable to go to the gym when the homo brigade and bull dykes are training. They are just very mean and they discriminate and bully people. They are the bigots!!!

Then you need to find another gym. Its just that simple instead of complaining about them here. Im not here to hear about that. Take it somewhere else. I dont have problems out of anyone at all at my gym and never did after 5 years.

John I feel you too. Im glad to hear its not just me having the same problem. I need to know more about affordable supplements that will help. I cant eat just lettuce and drink only protein drinks for the rest of my life.

Hey Ryan,

Cable Crossovers as well as the Pec Dec will help round out the outside of the chest.  Higher reps, 10 and up for cutting with about 55-65 percent of your max.  You can add weight or reps depending on how easily your doing the weight.  At least 4 sets.  For the midsection of course cardio and were talking an hour a day for at least 4 to 6 days for extreme cutting.  Your target heartrate should be maintained during the cardio.  Also ab circuit training cycling between four excercises with high intensity for four sets, for at least a minute nonstop for each excercise.  situps-crunches- six inches-flutter kicks.  Also you must work the love handles-side crunches work well for this.  Lastly diet diet diet.  It sucks but with the proper diet, you will lose weight even without intense training.  Hope this helps you

Please don't tell me this is going to turn into drama central. Perhaps I didn't understand what this group was about.  Can't we just all get along? Yes, I had to go there. I've posted workouts that I've done, but they are on my site.

Importance of Muscle Body Building Components

Posted by: "dyfgyrvkjxqt" dyfgyrvkjxqt@yahoo.com   dyfgyrvkjxqt

Fri May 28, 2010 10:55 pm (PDT)

Weight training is of course the most important component of muscle body building. Anyone will agree that an effective weight training program is the only way to be truly successful in your muscle body building efforts. Unfortunately many beginners overdo their workouts and not only do they fail to achieve the results that they were looking for, but many cause themselves quite serious harm and injury as well.
Muscle Body Building is about encouraging regular and safe muscle growth. The novice that walks into a gym and tries to lift the same weight as the seasoned vets are is only going to end up sore, and let's face it, embarrassed.
Successful muscle body building is achieved by progressively adding additional weight and resistance to a structured exercise program, and having the patience, dedication and drive to stick to the program on a regular basis. All though there are many on the market there is no real "magic pill" that can replace the time in the gym that an individual needs to put in to achieve their muscle body building goals. Some find these supplements helpful in their overall program, but a new user should exercise a good deal of caution, as some of the supplements and potions available have been shown to do more harm than good.
Whether you want to simply add a little more definition to your overall physique, or you aspire to look more like Hulk Hogan, whatever your final goals it will take hard work and dedication to achieve them.

Hello All,

I have started a new site which is similar to NaturalBodybuildingEvents.com, but lists Health and Fitness Expos. Tradeshows & Conferences. I hope the site will become a resource for folks in the fitness industry to locate Expos, Tradeshows & Conferences where they can work at a booth, have their own booth, or network themselves and their fitness-related businesses.

The URL is http://www.healthandfitnessexpos.com

If you know of an event that I don't have listed, please let me know and I will add it to the site.

Hi,

I am brand new to the sport. I'm 48. I've been a long distance runner for 15 years now, and I love it but notice that my upper body has disappeared so I've just started hitting the gym doing abs/chest/tricep, back/bicep, shoulder/leg days. Right now I just have access to the universal at the pool, but will join a gym as things progress.

I have two very basic questions. How often do you work a particular muscle? I noticed the second time I got to my abs this week they were still sore and I had a crappy workout. And what sort of goals are realistic? I'm (no big guys laughing here ok) 140lbs, so bench pressing my weight seemed like an obvious short term goal, but that is just one exercise, and may only take weeks to reach. What about the rest of the body? I'm still going to run, and I know that will stop me from getting real bulk, but it's a passion, but I'm excited to be more rounded out physically.

Looking for direction,

Wayne

Hello Wayne.

Before, I start, this is just my opinion based on what VERY little I know about you.

Okay, you are going from runner to bodybuilder or plan on doing both? I'm sure you are aware they contradict each other. Anyway, one thing you will need to do is increase your caloric intake. I would presume that you are already lean, so if you increase it by an additional 500 per day, increasing that per week until you are up to about 4,000 a day throughout the day, that should take care of your caloric intake. Of course you will want to keep your intake on the cleaner side, and not spend the day wolfin' big macs and whoppers.

As for training, you will want hit legs, and hit them hard. You've developed runner's legs, so squats should do the trick to help build those puppies up. Take it deep, with the butt droppin' it to the floor (not literally). Squeeze every bit of muscle in your legs as you come up, so you are working all areas of the legs.  Also focus on bench press (flat / incline decline), lat pulls, seated rows, dead-lifts and military presses.  Doing a lot of the complex / big bang / multi-joint exercises will allow you to hit all areas of the muscles you are training.

You can pretty much train how you want. The problem you are running into is you only have a pool to use.  Therefore, you need to figure out what to do at home.  I have a home based workout at www.fit2start.com you can try out. It focuses on doing exercises at the home as oppose to the gym.  Aside from that, if you can provide more information, I'm sure the members of the group can provide more feedback.

Cheers! Charles

I have recently run into some very impressive photos of businessman/bodybuilder Ross Mattis.  Clearly he has an impressive physique, what makes him even more impressive is that he claims to be all natural.  Now, I have my doubts about someone getting to this level of conditioning and size completely naturally but clearly this guy knows what he is doing.
If you want to find out more about his programs he has a website called Truphysique.
I also recommend Ross' training videos.  There is some great footage and training ideas in them and they are inspiring as well.
