Thanks for your response.

The problem actually arose for me because I get a daily update of my groups from
Yahoo and it often says John Doe added 5 photos to the Best Arms folder in
Bodybuilding for Men and they give thumbnail reproductions of the photos.  You
are supposed to be able to click on the thumbnails to be taken to the the
correct photo in the folder at the group but often the links don't work.  Then
you have no name of the bodybuilder and when you go to the folder manually you
are then faced with 230 odd pictures.  They seem to have no system for adding
new pictures to the start or end of the file so that you would know where to
find them if the link does not work.

I am very happy with your response.  Many thanks.

Don

Hi Don,
There is a database of photo locations  in the group to help you track down a
particular bodybuilder's picture and we have tried to group pictures with the
same subject together.
However, your point is well taken that the larger photo groupings are difficult
to search through even so.
I think it is very possible for the larger groupings of photos, Best Arms,
Inspirational Photos and Training Photos we could alphabetize the subjects.  We
will figure out a system for photos with multiple subjects.  Certainly that is a
smaller group to figure out!!!
The yearly groupings of contest photos will continue to be grouped by contest,
in order of placing and aproximately chronilogically where they occurred during
the year.
Most of the other groupings are pretty small and hopefully not difficult to
navigate.
Thanks for your interest in the photo archive here and the helpful suggestion!

Okay I did a trial run of organizing the training photos. Did a small number last night and the rest this morning. Unfortunately when I attempted to save the order, I received a nested error and was left with the original order.

fillups4 and I have both agreed to work on this but it will probably be at least a week on the 3 big folders since it appears we'll have to do it in little batches.

Thanks again for this suggestion. It will probably improve group access to the pictures generally!!
