Matt DuFresne is not the most famous bodybuilder from the eighties but he is still a significant bodybuilder historically. To this date, he is the last American man to win the overall NABBA Universe Amateur title back in 1989. A title that the USA used to practically own. There are a lot of
reasons for this but one of them is that he was an exceptional
bodybuilder. Here is a video of Matt as he made that historic win. He actually beat out Flex Wheeler for the 1985 AAU Teen America.

I'm attaching a photo of Matt back when he won both the Universe and the AAU America title (Jeff King had previously pulled this double win off).

Matt still is involved in personal training and fitness. You can check out a BLOG he contributes to here and his profile here. Matt was always known for being very methodical in his approach to training, nutrition and ascending the bodybuilding hierarchy of contests. His BLOG entries seem to suggest that he still is. Clearly Matt accomplished great things in his bodybuilding career and happily still healthy and working in the fitness industry. If you're in the Massachusetts area and looking for an experienced trainer it looks like he is available.
